KHELA is a Bengali film directed by well acclaimed director Rituparno Ghosh. Ghosh has contributed to serious cinema through some significant hits like DAHAN, UTSAB, CHOKHER BALI, ASHUK, BARIVALI, ANTARMAHAL, RAINCOAT and LAST LEAR. The music of the movie will be released on June 28 while the movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 11 2008 nation wide in Hindi and in Bengali in West Bengal.
This is an excellent documentary put together by ATN Bangla and Mahfuzur Rahman, which illustrates the Mukti Juddho that took place in the 1971 Liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan. This in depth documentary brings out the struggles and the mass murders that took place in our beloved Bangladesh. It also points out the help Bangladesh has received from Indian citizens, and the Prime Minister of India at that time - Indira Ghandi.

This album consists of the songs that are there in the movie by Ajan Dutta called Bong Connection. The movie is really nice and so are the songs. Neel Dutta has composed the music for this movie and it has some great tracks. Once again it is a mixed bag - different types of songs are there. The album like the movie has a flavour of its own. I don’t know why to me both the music and the movie reminds me of Jhumpa Lahiri’s ‘Interpreter Of Maladies’. The songs are in Mp3 format and download is free.
